Welcome to Dog & Goose! Thank you for visiting my site. My name is Lucy, also known affectionately amongst friends as Goose!

I grew up with two lovely dogs, Bluey, a German Shepherd X who used to walk himself, then Barney, we still can't decide what breed Barney was! (His picture is featured for Solo walks)

In 2023, I decided to leave my hectic Healthcare career and began working as a Dog walker. I had already been Dog sitting frequently so this felt like a natural, exciting step!

My experience working as a dog walker so far has been fun and informative.

I've now worked with a plethora of breeds, ages and temperament's and have enjoyed every moment. Nevertheless, I've come to the conclusion that group walks are not one-size-fits-all and that some dogs find the experience overwhelming, triggering reactivity or other behavioural concerns which the owner may not be aware of.

This is why I have set up my own service to help dogs and their owners get more out of their walks. My approach will ensure your dog is in a safe pair of hands, content, loved and fulfilled and that you, as the owner receives full transparency over where, how, and who your dog is walking with!

I am first aid trained, insured and have an enhanced DBS check. I'm currently training as a positive reinforcement trainer with the Institute of Modern Dog Training. I hope to qualify in early 2025. I also aspire to train as a behaviourist in the not-to-distance future.

I currently offer either Solo or Duo walks, specifically

tailored to each individual owner and their dog.

Either way, your dog will be suitability socialised and stimulated alone, or paired with compatible, familiar and sociable companions on duo walks.
